Network Engineer

Key job Responsibilities

  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Ensure that all technical issues are being handled promptly - either directly or by delegation

  • Work with clients to determine needs, propose and implement solutions

  • Manage projects from proposal to completion

  • Create and conduct a yearly “Tech Plan” meeting outlining proposed changes in the coming year

  • Meet billable hour goals

  • Mentor junior staff

  • Attend potential client proposal meetings

  • Conduct network assessments

  • Conduct quality control visits of existing clients

  • Conduct new client on-boarding procedure

  • Pursue and obtain relevant higher education and/or certifications

  • Work from home at own discretion

  • Check email/voicemail at a reasonable interval afterhours and on weekends

Qualified Candidates for this position must meet the following criteria:

  • Extensive experience supporting a variety of clients in the field
  • Minimum 2-year degree; bachelor degree preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in server and network support
  • Mastery of Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Proficient with basic networking
  • Efficient troubleshooting skills
  • Industry certifications desirable (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)
  • Confidence and professionalism

Systems Engineer

Key job Responsibilities

  • Promptly address incoming tickets for client teams
  • Assist staff as needed with technical and administrative requests
  • Occasional coverage of helpdesk
  • Assist with creating and conducting a yearly “Tech Plan” meeting outlining proposed changes in the coming year
  • Diligent communication with clients and network engineers
  • Diligent follow-through of support tickets from creation to completion
  • Meet billable hour goals
  • Can occasionally work from home with manager approval
  • Pursue and obtain relevant higher education and/or certifications
  • Check email/voicemail at a reasonable interval afterhours and on weekends

Helpdesk Specialist

Key job Responsibilities

  • Complete daily NOC review procedure
  • Monitor the helpdesk proactively
  • Respond to client requests as they arrive in ticketing system
  • Assist staff as needed with technical and administrative requests
  • Diligent follow-through of support tickets from creation to completion
  • Punctuality in being at TTG office during business hours

Qualified Candidates for this position must meet the following criteria:

  • High school minimum; associates degree or higher preferred
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Proficient with basic networking
  • Efficient troubleshooting skills

Information Security Auditor

Description

Perform detailed information technology assessments and audits on clients in the financial, healthcare, and SMB markets. This employee may also act as information security implementation consultant with some hands on security responsibilities. This position is responsible for performing audits and testing of controls in Network Vulnerability Assessments, SOC audits, HIPAA security audits, internal PII audits, and conducts annual policy and procedure reviews, among other tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in audit engagement planning, execution and reporting of security audits and network vulnerability assessments with minimal supervision.

  • Perform audit work in accordance with professional standards and complete assignments in an efficient manner. Documents work to a re-performance standard supporting audit testing and findings.
  • Perform interviews, examinations, and testing of security controls. Assists in preparation of assessment deliverables – Security Control Assessment Report, Security Risk Assessments, etc.
  • Provide audit readiness consulting to clients.
  • Interact with the CEO, management, financial auditors, and the Manager of Security & Assurance services during audits on scoping, controls, identification and execution of testing plans.
  • Plan, execute and report on information technology, privacy, and operational reviews in order to identify business, privacy, security, compliance, information technology and regulatory risks.
  • Perform other job related duties as required.

Skills Requirement

  • Strong experience and expertise with Windows, AD, and Cisco environments. High absorption rate for understanding new technologies and maintaining currency with industry trends
  • Working knowledge of security compliance criteria, best practices, policy and procedure review, gap analysis, and risk assessments
  • Experience with Service Organization Control (SOC) audits and assessing HIPAA Security Rule controls a plus
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to translate technical jargon into business-related decisions for management and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner and with minimal supervision

Certifications & Education

  • AS, BA or BS degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and/or GIAC Systems Network Auditor certifications preferred. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) a plus

Experience Requirement

  • Three or more years total audit/system experience including at least one year of information systems audit experience

Travel is limited mostly to Connecticut.
